The Syrah Grape Originates from France

Video Description from YouTube
Syrah can taste drastically different depending on how it is made. French Winemaker Eric Texier explains how Syrah can taste like Cru Beaujolais, or big bold and deep like some of the wines from Australia.

"Syrah is a dark-skinned grape variety grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce red wine. DNA profiling in 1999 found Syrah to be the offspring of two obscure grapes from southeastern France, Dureza and Mondeuse blanche." Source: Wikipedia
